Issue Summary
The URF100 device is not detected by the Nset App Configurator when attempting configuration via peer-to-peer (direct network) connection.
Root Cause
• The URF100 lacks a physical reset button or alternative reset options, aside from full configuration via direct PC connection.
• This issue typically arises when the URF100 is set to DHCP mode and connected to an upper-level network without a functioning DHCP server.
• Without a valid DHCP response, the URF100 fails to obtain a proper IP address, rendering it undetectable by Nset during peer-to-peer setup.
Recommended Solution
To restore connectivity and enable configuration:
1. Connect the URF100 device and the PC/laptop (with Nset installed) to a router or network switch that has a functioning DHCP server.
2. This ensures the URF100 receives a valid IP address via DHCP.
3. Once assigned, the Nset App Configurator will be able to detect the URF100 device for further configuration.
Additional Notes
• Avoid connecting URF100 to isolated or unmanaged networks without DHCP capability.
• For environments requiring static IPs, configure the device only after DHCP assignment and initial detection via Nset.
• Consider documenting the assigned IP for future reference or static mapping.
